Template for making a chick
Happy chick
€ 1.00
(5/5)
The child first receives a blank sheet of paper and begins drawing lines from the centre outward in all directions, like rays. They can use different colours and gradually make the lines denser, creating a colourful “shaggy ball” that represents a little chick or bird. The child then cuts out the individual parts from the printed template – the upper and lower parts of the eggshell, the eyes, and the beak. These parts are then glued onto the drawing so that a cheerful chick appears, just hatching from its shell.
The activity primarily supports fine motor skills, as children work with a pencil, scissors, and glue. While drawing lines from the centre outward, they practice hand relaxation and proper graphomotor movement.
Cutting out and assembling the individual parts also supports visual perception, spatial imagination, concentration, and independent work.
