Hungry caterpillar

Children use a dice to feed the hungry caterpillar with the correct leaves. The teacher cuts out the caterpillar with an opening for its mouth, attaches it to a box, and prepares small leaf cards along with a matching dice. Children roll the dice, find the corresponding leaf, and place it into the caterpillar’s mouth. The activity can also be extended with a standard dice, where children insert as many leaves as the number of dots shown. The set develops visual perception, fine motor skills, recognition of colors and shapes, and early mathematical skills. It includes both a color and a black-and-white version.
